The Volunteer Network may be your solution, and is as easy as going to the Intranet, where you will find displayed all of the various volunteer projects that your fellow employees are involved in, projects that are looking for volunteers and perhaps will interest you
Below are a couple of projects that members of the Volunteer Network have been involved in:
Habitat for Humanity - A truly rewarding experience and a great turnout for First Fed. We got to meet and greet the people who were actually going to be living in those homes and were overwhelmed by the gratitude they showed.
Day of Service - Los Angeles Mayor Antonio Villaraigosa, along with our councilmen Grieg Smith and Dennis Zine, got together community groups to bring out thousands of people to make a difference in their community - planting trees, helping elderly with home repairs, pet adoption, graffiti removal and recycling (computers, monitors, TVs, etc.). There were local bands, cheerleaders, local flowers, and trees for pickup and food for all.
The Volunteer Network is pleased to announce the addition of two new members:
Mina Soliman - Mina believes that it’s important to give back to the communities where you work and live. Mina said, “There have been countless people who have helped me throughout my life and I remember what an impact they had on me,” and he would like to return the favor. Mina is a Personal Banker at the Raintree Office and is currently in school for his accounting degree.
Tami Waite - Tami wanted to become involved with the Bank and its employees. Over the holidays, she volunteered for the Salvation Army to collect and donate toys and clothing for the Salvation Army Angel Tree program. She said, “It was so rewarding to see the compassion and kindness of our employees and how they all worked together to make sure that children less fortunate than them could have presents to open for the holiday.” Tami is a Marketing Specialst and has been with the Bank since July of 2005. next>>
